We offer a bespoke service for both our graphite and green natural Polished slate hearths which includes cutting to exact dimensions and shapes, polishing, finishing edges, having the hearth sealed (or not, if you prefer) and delivered anywhere in the UK.
We keep a large range of slate sizes in stock, most of which is 30mm thick but we can also offer 20mm and up to 60mm if required. To be honest though, we usually try to talk customers out of the thicker material as you’re effectively paying a lot more for Polished slate hearths which you basically can’t see or get any real benefit from. Instead, we can cut plinths from the same slate to create a “deeper” Polished slate hearths look.
In order to keep costs down for you and to avoid excessive wastage, we keep slate sizes from 1200 x 300mm right up to mahoosive 2000 x 900mm pieces. If, somehow, your castle requires a bigger Polished slate hearths than that, well, look, it’s not all about size you know? And B. We can always create you something in two pieces and make a feature out of the joint? Yes, we know you hadn’t thought of that, because that’s what WE do.
You've seen on this page a few examples of the Polished slate hearths we’ve supplied previously, but it's worth remembering that we do the full range of shapes and sizes, from the simple rectangle/square shape, to “T” shapes, quarter circles, semi circles, rhomboids and farmyard animal shapes. You’re still reading this right? Go on, we dare you, send us a drawing for a cow shaped hearth. Or a chicken.
Call us, email us or use our contact page with what you have in mind, or send us your own unique sketch. No, don’t worry, your drawing skills can be as abysmal as ours and we will accept it on the “back of a fag packet”, after all, it wouldn’t be the first time…
